Corcovado National Park one of the most biodiverse places in the world with 2.5% of the world's variety. It is the largest park in Costa Rica and protects about a third of the Osa Peninsula. It is widely considered the crown jewel in the extensive system of national parks and biological reserves spread across the country. The ecological variety is quite stunning. National Geographic has called it "the most biologically intense place on Earth in terms of biodiversity".
We board the boat, we will cruise 30km down the Sierpe River – the largest wetlands of Costa Rica. The Terraba-Sierpe wetlands are home to a variety of animals and plant species.
During your boat ride you will see large mangrove trees – the largest mangrove system in Costa Rica. As for animals, you will see anything from iguanas, boa constrictors, American crocodiles, monkeys and birds. And this is just on your way to the park!
