​​This tour start in Ojochal near to Uvita, you will see many species of birds (herons, humimbirds, toucans, parrots), mammals (racoons, monkeys), reptiles (crocodiles, caimans, turtles, snakes) and types of ecosystems, mangroves forest, gallery forest.  Mangrove & River is one of those activities that you will enjoy it in the largest wetland in CostaRica, Terraba-Sierpe Wetland. Second largest wetland in Central America, it is a Ramsar Site since 1994 and it protects nearly 32000 hectareas.
Terraba-Sierpe wetland has inhabits colorful birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibios and fish.
Tour guides will educate and tell stories of the Mangrove forest, Gallery forest and more.
This wetland is affected by the tide (low tide & high tide) and we see types of birds feeding on fish and shrimp on muddy ground at low tide and other birds trying to get some food at high tide because all the ground is covered by water.​​
